Network Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trading, IT Infrastructure, and Development teams to configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure
• Provide day-to-day support for network and application environments, including port configuration and cabling
• Design, implement, and manage effective WAN/LAN networks to support global trading platforms
• Work with network providers to ensure infrastructure remains stable, competitive, and cost-effective
• Document processes and focus on the automation of day-to-day operations
• Provide evening and weekend support and maintenance, including travel to data centers as required

Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional experience in IP networking, ideally in low-latency environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Design, or a related field
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, or Juniper networking equipment
• Active CCNP certification is required
• Experience with Python scripting and Linux/Unix systems
• Proficiency in network traffic and protocol analysis using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multicast routing (IGMP, PIM, BiDir, MSDP)
• Strong understanding of switching fundamentals including VLANs, STP, and trunking
• Experience with firewalls, ACLs, and VPNs
• Desire and drive to achieve CCIE certification
