Network Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls across colocation and data center environments
• Manage network hardware deployments including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Configure and support Meraki-based corporate office networking solutions
• Implement and maintain VPN solutions for secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity
• Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 data center network infrastructure
• Configure and optimize routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
• Collaborate with ISPs and Card Networks to maintain connectivity and ensure SLAs
• Perform rack and stack operations and physical infrastructure maintenance
• Monitor network performance and implement QoS policies
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network support

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure
• Strong experience with Cisco switches
• Palo Alto firewall configuration and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on experience with Meraki cloud-managed networking
• Proficiency in VPN technologies including IPsec and SSL VPN
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
• Deep understanding of OSI model layers 1-4
• Ability to travel occasionally to colocation sites

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP certification
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash for network automation
