About the role
Responsibilities
- Support 24/7/365 Tier II network engineering operations monitoring and maintaining C2/ISR transport networks
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting transport infrastructure
- Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and restore network services across routed, switched, terrestrial, wireless, RF, and satellite communications environments
- Perform root-cause analysis of network outages and performance degradation
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco-based networking solutions using BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VLANs, multicast, QoS, and VPN technologies
- Support Information Assurance (IA), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and STIG implementation
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active US Government Secret clearance or higher
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex network issues in routed and switched infrastructures
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies
- Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, multicast routing, VLANs, and VPNs
- Ability to travel worldwide, including to remote or austere locations for up to two months
- Qualification meeting DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF 441 (Intermediate) via education, military training, or certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, or CEH)
Preferred Qualifications
- Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
- Circuit actions experience
- Experience with alarm surveillance, call routing, or session initiated protocol
- Experience with packet capture analysis or Juniper IP technologies
