Network Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
• Perform network cable (copper and fiber) installation, testing, and removal
• Troubleshoot technical problems reported by users
• Assist with network obsolescence and refresh cycles
• Maintain network and system security, including hardware security patching and firmware upgrades
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability for specific users
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, and mobile devices
• Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Perform network address assignment and maintain network facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 3-4 years of experience in IT
• Experience with network cable installation and testing
• Proficiency in troubleshooting user problems
• Experience with server and hardware administration
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
• Exceptional customer service skills
