Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Follow Connectivity Operations Team procedures and utilize ticketing systems for issue tracking
• Provide hands-on support for network upgrade projects and initiatives
• Install, maintain, operate, and secure LAN infrastructure and network devices
• Respond to hardware failures by replacing and configuring switches, routers, and access points
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user connectivity issues
• Manage network segment access in accordance with security policies
• Perform hardware, operating system, and software updates
• Adhere to change and configuration management processes

Requirements

• Two years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope
• Active security clearance with polygraph
• Associate's degree in engineering technology (or two additional years of network engineering experience)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like crawling or kneeling
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Certifications for CWIP compliance (A+, Net+, or Sec+)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with installation and configuration of firewalls, switches, routers, and cabling
• Familiarity with Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper devices
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, and DNS
• Experience with network operating systems and hardware troubleshooting
