Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the continuity of trading systems infrastructure and facilitate trader activities
• Monitor and optimize systems hosting a wide range of applications
• Drive innovations including new market links and solutions for system stability and performance
• Maintain and improve existing network infrastructure through orchestration and automation
• Manage infrastructures, develop contingency plans, and provide multi-level support
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including traders and data centers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• At least 5 years of IT experience covering WAN, cloud, multicast routing, and security
• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Arista technologies (L1/L2/L3, firewalls, wireless)
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux command line and networking stack
• Experience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, and multicast routing (PIM SM/DM/SSM)
• Hands-on scripting experience with Bash/Shell, Python, and Salt
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS and GCP)
• Ability to produce quality network design documentation and diagrams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting electronic trading systems in capital markets
• Experience with low latency networks and network latency management systems
• Network certifications such as CCNP
• Knowledge of time synchronization protocols (NTP, PTP, GPS)
• Expertise in TCP analysis and traffic optimization
• Experience with network monitoring tools like Zabbix, SNMP, Netflow, and Grafana
• Proficiency with packet analysis tools like tcpdump and Wireshark
