Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with Trading and Infrastructure units to drive pricing and trading solutions development
• Develop and implement architecture and infrastructure for connections to data sources and exchanges
• Provide technical guidance and problem resolution for delivery teams
• Perform traffic flow analysis and modeling
• Conduct technical research, planning, and documentation
• Ensure smooth production operations with monitoring tools and documentation
• Manage capacity planning, congestion detection, and latency predictability
• Implement data protection and disaster recovery in multi-site environments
• Create automation for repeating tasks

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in network design and operations
• Industry certification (CCNP or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and open-source products
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP stack and multicast
• Experience with L2-3 networks (Cisco, Brocade, Huawei, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
• Experience with latency-optimized hardware (Exegy XERO, Myricom, etc.)
• Knowledge of time synchronization protocols (NTP, PTP)
• Understanding of high-precision hardware timestamping systems
• Understanding of Linux network kernel subsystem and performance analysis
• Experience with low-latency and real-time network technologies
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Powershell)
• Understanding of Docker and AWS
• Administration of Linux and Windows systems
• Intermediate spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud
• Knowledge of WAN architectures
• Degree in physical, mathematical, or computer sciences
• Public Cloud Provider certifications
