Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
• Configure and manage networking devices like routers, switches, and firewalls
• Monitor network performance and stability, identifying areas for improvement and troubleshooting issues
• Develop and implement network security protocols to safeguard data and technology infrastructure
• Collaborate with IT teams to assess network needs and install necessary upgrades
• Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations, standards, and procedures
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in network engineering
• At least 2 years of IT professional experience with networking focus
• Mandatory experience with BGP, EIGRP, and ISIS
• Experience with network-related equipment, sniffers, and monitoring tools
• Troubleshooting experience with Cisco switches (6500, 4500, 3750, 3560, 2960)
• Technical knowledge of VLAN, VTP, Trunk (802.1q), and Spanning Tree

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
