Network Engineer 3

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the availability, performance, and reliability of OCI network services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network incidents across large-scale cloud environments.
• Design and develop automation and tooling to eliminate repetitive operational tasks.
• Participate in network deployment, expansion, and upgrade projects.
• Lead operational excellence initiatives, including runbook development and process improvement.
• Mentor engineers and support onboarding efforts and technical hiring activities.
• Participate in a rotational on-call support model and incident response activities.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of routing and networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware such as Juniper, Cisco, or Arista.
• Proficiency with automation tools including Python, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience operating large-scale ISP, hyperscale cloud, or enterprise network environments.
• Knowledge of RDMA technologies and lossless network architectures.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting GPU-based infrastructure and AI/ML networking environments.
• Hands-on experience with InfiniBand and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE.
• Familiarity with merchant silicon networking platforms like Broadcom and Mellanox.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
