Network Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies including wireless, data, voice, and video
• Create and document network designs that conform to architectural and security standards using standard implementation packages
• Collaborate with stakeholders in agile-inspired sprint teams to manage work intake, backlogs, and execution
• Provide Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support to ensure network availability and service restoration
• Prepare, deploy, and coordinate the installation of complex implementation packages per company standards
• Perform implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects using established project management methodologies

Requirements

• Active DOD Secret security clearance
• 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, and Cisco IOS implementations
• 3+ years of experience in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN
• 3+ years of experience utilizing TCP/IP network protocols
• Ability to support after-hours change windows and cover on-call shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Cisco routing, switching, and IOS
• Current CCNA or CCNP certification
• Experience with Arista networking and Cisco CLI
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Palo Alto next-generation firewalls and Panorama
• Experience with IPSEC, GRE tunnel configurations, and encryption devices
• Experience with Splunk and NTP
