Network Deployment Technician

Responsibilities

• Install routers, switches, and DWDM hardware
• Assist in troubleshooting fiber optic and copper cabling
• Create colocation remote hand requests for new capacity installations
• Support project leads in delivering network capacity projects
• Resolve data center and facility issues
• Participate in site audits to ensure safety and quality meet AWS standards
• Provide status updates to stakeholders via internal tools
• Perform physical tasks including lifting and racking equipment up to 40lbs

Requirements

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40lbs
• Ability to travel up to 50% (local, domestic, or international)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a data center environment (racking/stacking, cable management)
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to safety guidelines
• Experience operating efficiently under pressure and resolving customer issues
