Network Control Technician III

Responsibilities

• Lead network monitoring and control activities within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment
• Analyze and resolve complex network incidents, outages, and performance degradations
• Coordinate incident response and escalation with engineering and cybersecurity teams
• Maintain situational awareness of enterprise network status across distributed environments
• Support implementation of network changes, maintenance windows, and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and operational standards
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior technicians

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in network operations or NOC support
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and switching
• Relevant certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or Security+
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment including shift work
• Eligibility to obtain Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy NOC operations
• Familiarity with SolarWinds, Splunk, or Nagios
• Experience with incident management and ticketing systems
