About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on long-term infrastructure planning, including lifecycle, capacity, and service delivery options.
  • Plan, implement, and administer the Faculty’s network, server, storage, virtualization, and cloud/hybrid infrastructure.
  • Administer core operating systems and services, including Windows Server, Linux/UNIX, identity and access (AD/Entra ID), and containerized services.
  • Maintain security and service integrity through operational monitoring, technical controls, and risk documentation.
  • Ensure reliable network operation through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, runbooks, and architecture configurations.
  • Act as a technical resource for IT staff and provide advanced support and consultation to users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a complex, heterogeneous enterprise IT environment.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows Server administration.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including IaaS/PaaS workloads.
  • Demonstrated experience with core enterprise services such as DNS, DHCP, and directory/file services.
  • Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate computer hardware up to 25 kg.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Server, VMware, or Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
  • Expertise in Apple/macOS, mobile platforms, and endpoint management (Intune/Jamf).
