Network Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for the Air Force's MQ-9 communications system and global network architectures
• Monitor network performance, integrity, and security using tools such as SolarWinds
• Perform initial triage and troubleshooting for network outages and performance issues
• Document all incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system
• Escalate unresolved and complex issues to Senior Network Engineers in a timely manner
• Assist with basic network administration tasks, including managing device configurations and user access
• Support planned network maintenance, software upgrades, and preventive maintenance checks
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in network administration, network support, or a technical help desk role
• CompTIA Security+ or CCNA certification required (Network+ is highly desired)
• Foundational knowledge of routing, switching, and TCP/IP
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance
• Ability to lift, carry, and install equipment weighing approximately 30 lbs
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operations center, including nights, weekends, and holidays
