About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialised, evidence-based care to premature and critically ill infants
- Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, ventilator settings, and respond rapidly to changes
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutritional support
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and manage emergencies such as sepsis or respiratory distress
- Educate and support families on infant care, feeding, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- NCLEX-RN passed or actively preparing
- English proficiency
- Minimum 24 months of recent NICU acute care experience
- Willingness to relocate to Alaska for at least three years
