About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform mixed-methods data analyses, including qualitative narrative interviews and quantitative online surveys
- Coordinate study activities, monitor timelines, and maintain recruitment tracking databases
- Create and post advertisements to recruit community partners and study participants
- Prepare Research Ethics Board (REB) protocol submissions and Data Access Agreements
- Assist in Indigenous knowledge translation activities, including reports, manuscripts, and conference materials
- Schedule team meetings and record detailed minutes
- Manage project transactions and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in public health, community development, mental health, Indigenous studies, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant research work experience
- Experience working with Indigenous community partners and applying Indigenous research methodologies
- Proficiency with data analysis and management software such as nVivo and Qualtrics
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with Research Ethics Board (REB) protocols and grant applications
- Solid understanding of Indigenous affairs, health, and cultural traditional knowledges
- Ability to work independently and as part of a regional research team
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- OCAP certification
