NE Construction Technician

Responsibilities

• Install elevators and escalators at customer sites following specific installation and safety procedures.
• Ensure all safety procedures are implemented before elevator operation begins.
• Inspect vertical alignment of hoistways, guide rollers, and speed governors.
• Adjust elevator balance, counterweights, and final limits.
• Install and adjust doors and door locks, ensuring all bolts and fasteners are properly tightened at every floor.
• Inspect traction ropes, cables, and safety devices to ensure proper emergency stopping.
• Test all electrical systems, including buttons, car doors, and intercom systems.
• Adjust control panel settings, movement speed, and ride quality according to company instructions.
• Complete factory checklists and prepare inspection, testing, and safety reports.
• Report any site discrepancies or operational issues to the installation supervisor or engineer.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong electrical skills and proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with electronic and digital tools.
• Technical high school diploma, equivalent, or a university degree.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
