NDT Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing on aircraft structures, engines, propellers, and components to identify flaws like corrosion or cracks
• Ensure all NDT is performed according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain NDT equipment in proper working order and ensure current calibration
• Document discrepancies on appropriate forms, work orders, tags, or aircraft logs
• Follow shift turnover procedures and comply with repair station and company policies
• Meet personnel qualification/certification requirements of the FAA approved EAMS NDT process specification

Requirements

• High School Diploma (A.S. Degree in Aviation preferred)
• A&P Certificate
• Approximately 8 years of experience in NDT inspection
• Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
• Ability to pass annual vision exams

Preferred Qualifications

• Level II NDT certification
