NDT Level II Inspector - Ultrasound

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections and issue inspection/dispatch reports and release notes in the Metal-Mechanical and non-destructive testing area
• Execute NDT as a Level II Inspector, primarily using Conventional Ultrasound (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasound (PAUT)
• Configure, calibrate, and operate UT and PAUT equipment, including probe and wedge selection
• Interpret and evaluate indications obtained during NDT according to ASME, API, and ISO standards
• Issue clear, complete, and traceable technical NDT reports
• Apply QA/QC procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of equipment, welds, and components
• Act as a technical authority in NDT Level II, with the power to stop inspections or reject non-conforming results
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safety requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (or related technical field)
• 3–5 years of experience in NDT execution within industrial projects (fabrication, construction, or maintenance)
• Proven experience as a Level II Inspector in Conventional UT and PAUT
• Valid Level II certification per ISO 9712 or SNT-TC-1A in Conventional Ultrasound (UT) and Phased Array (PAUT)
• Proficiency in QA/QC schemes and Inspection Test Plans (ITP)
• Intermediate to Advanced English level

Preferred Qualifications

• Level II certifications in VT, PT, or MT
• Practical experience in PAUT applied to welding, piping, and equipment
• Training in ASME Section V (NDT)
• Knowledge of ASME B31.X, ASME VIII, and API 1104 codes
