NDE & Inspection Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review and approve NDE procedures to ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory requirements
• Qualify and audit NDE operators and service providers to ensure competence and consistent performance
• Support the development and implementation of inspection quality and mechanical integrity systems at sites
• Lead the planning and execution of advanced NDE jobs and provide expert interpretation of inspection results
• Support failure investigations and root cause analysis by providing NDE expertise
• Work with sites and projects on NDE technique selection, including developing technical requirements and reviewing RFQs
• Provide global training in the application of NDE tools, systems, codes, and standards
• Drive the evaluation, qualification, and deployment of advanced NDE technologies across the organization
• Represent the company in Joint Industry projects (JIPs) and similar industry initiatives

Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of advanced NDE and inspection experience in the oil & gas industry
• Engineering Degree (Bachelor’s or higher)
• Ability to travel and support sites globally
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, ASNT, AWS)
• Experience applying NDE to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, pipelines, tanks, and furnaces
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and gain stakeholder agreement

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or past ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II certification (RT, UT, ET, PT, MT)
• In-depth experience with PAUT, TOFD, and ILI (in-line inspection) technology
• Advanced degree in the NDE area
• ISO Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification
• American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• Knowledge of metallurgy, corrosion mechanisms, and fitness for service (FFS)
