NDE Examiner

Responsibilities

• Perform qualified NDE examinations on weldments, base materials, and pressure boundary components using PT, MT, RT, UT, and VT methods.
• Ensure all NDE activities comply with ASME Section III, ASME Section V, and NRC regulatory requirements.
• Inspect components for rejectable indications such as cracks, porosity, and lack of fusion, evaluating them against ASME acceptance standards.
• Calibrate NDE equipment and reference blocks according to approved procedures and document all findings with precision.
• Interpret engineering drawings, weld maps, and isometrics to determine examination scope and coverage.
• Document all examination results on approved report forms, ensuring full traceability and compliance with NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B.
• Maintain, clean, and calibrate NDE equipment and measuring instruments in accordance with the M&TE Control program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 2-3 years of relevant NDE experience.
• ASNT/SNT-TC-1A Level II or III certification.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section III and Section V.
