About the Company

Traysar was founded in 2025 by second-time tech founders, recipients of the Israel Defense Prize, and engineers from elite military units, The Boring Company, and SpaceX. Backed by Lux Capital and the founders of Anduril, Traysar is developing technologies for the fifth domain of warfare: the underground.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development of underground navigation and sensing systems
  • Research and evaluate technologies for underground localization, mapping, and perception
  • Select, procure, integrate, and validate sensors for underground navigation
  • Develop signal processing, localization, sensor fusion, and mapping algorithms
  • Build software for underground navigation and perception
  • Design, prototype, and integrate sensing hardware into underground systems
  • Conduct laboratory and outdoor field testing and analyze data
  • Work closely with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between sensing, electronics, and mechanical systems
  • Help define the long-term technical roadmap for navigation capability

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating sensing hardware and software into real-world systems
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% for field testing in the United States and Israel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in signal processing, sensor fusion, or GPS-denied navigation
  • Experience with INS/IMU, electromagnetic localization, or magnetometers
  • Knowledge of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), seismic, or acoustic sensing
  • Proficiency in SLAM, Kalman filtering, or Bayesian estimation
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, MATLAB, Rust, or Embedded C/C++
  • Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, geophysics, or defense industries
