Naval System Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in the development, integration, and management of complex Naval surface weapons and combat defense systems
• Design and implement systems security engineering measures to prevent unauthorized access to critical technologies
• Develop Program Protection Plans (PPP) and other essential security-related documentation
• Integrate hardware and software protections into major weapons, combat, and fire control systems
• Perform requirements derivation, allocation, and management for weapon control systems and external interfaces
• Coordinate the impacts of proposed system changes with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline (or equivalent U.S. Naval operational experience at the E-7 level or higher)
• 6 years of engineering experience with major Department of Defense weapon, combat, or fire control systems
• 2 years of experience with U.S. Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons and combat systems
• 6 years of professional systems engineering experience, including system-level work in requirements definition or design
• Active SECRET U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Systems Security Engineering (SSE) measures and techniques
• Familiarity with DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.83, DoDI 5200.39, DoDI 5200.44, and DoDI 5200.47E
