Naval Structural Calculation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during pre-sales phases to understand client needs and develop technical responses
• Act as a technical lead on expert missions, including client-site projects and result-oriented projects
• Manage and supervise the ALTEN calculation team
• Acquire and disseminate technical methods and best practices
• Validate technical deliverables and calculation notes
• Contribute to the capitalization of skills and knowledge within the professional community through training and tool development

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Master's degree (Bac+5)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural calculation
• Proven experience in the naval sector (hulls, deck panels, etc.)
• Strong expertise in static, fatigue, and dynamic calculations (analytical and numerical)
• Proficiency in FEA modeling using NX Nastran and SimCenter (meshing, data input, and post-processing)
• Ability to implement loading cases for platform movements and shock scenarios
• Professional proficiency in English (written and oral)
• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
