Natural Gas Trader

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute for-profit trades related to Chevron Natural Gas assets
• Develop physical and financial trading strategies
• Demonstrate strong discipline in position development and risk management
• Work closely with originators to identify, evaluate, and negotiate structured trading opportunities
• Engage with industry experts and maintain strong internal and external relationships
• Communicate market strategy, transactions, position, and operational requirements to the team
• Ensure all trading activities conform with Risk Manual Guidelines and regulatory frameworks (CFTC/FERC)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of physical or financial trading experience in US natural gas markets
• Strong knowledge of the US natural gas market
• Firm understanding of risk management principles
• Flexibility and availability to execute 24/7 trading activities
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience trading in the Texas market
• Experience using Open Link’s Endur trade capture system
• Experience in technical and fundamental analysis
