National Workshop Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead workshop health & safety, compliance, and performance across more than seven sites nationwide
• Manage and develop workshop teams, focusing on performance and capability building
• Drive operational efficiency, KPIs, and detailed reporting
• Oversee machinery servicing, repairs, and maintenance across all locations
• Monitor budgets, costs, and overall workshop spend
• Manage tools, suppliers, and workshop resources to ensure optimal productivity

Requirements

• NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification (or NZQA-recognised equivalent)
• 5+ years of proven leadership or management experience within a mechanical workshop
• Strong mechanical and workshop operations knowledge
• Proven experience managing budgets, reporting, and KPIs
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Must be a New Zealand citizen
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug test, and criminal history check (ACC & MOJ)
• Flexibility for regular national travel
