National Technical Advisor, Hypertension Control

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of implementation plans for the hypertension control program
• Identify districts for program implementation in coordination with Kemenkes and provincial teams
• Provide technical guidance to districts in establishing cohort monitoring systems and optimizing digital tools
• Support the development of training curricula and materials adapted from the WHO HEARTS technical package
• Conduct field visits to assess program implementation and provide supportive supervision
• Support the MoH NCD Directorate in strengthening national policies, strategies, and guidelines for hypertension control
• Advocate for improved access to affordable antihypertensive medicines and validated BP monitoring devices

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience implementing public health programs
• Master's or advanced degree in public health, health policy, epidemiology, or related field
• Strong understanding of the Indonesian public health sector and MOH
• Experience translating national guidelines into operational implementation plans
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical degree (dokter/dr.)
• Degree in nursing or pharmacy
• Experience in non-communicable disease programs
• Experience working with international NGOs
• Familiarity with WHO HEARTS technical package
