About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend prospective customers by reviewing market segments and conducting customer interviews
  • Solicit accounts for meeting and catering business through the preparation and execution of action plans
  • Quote and negotiate prices, send proposals, and draw up License Agreements with approval from the Director of Sales
  • Coordinate with event managers upon closing to ensure superior customer service delivery
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
  • Input market intelligence information into Salesforce
  • Participate in tradeshows, conventions, and promotional events, including multi-day travel for sales missions
  • Achieve individual revenue goals on a quarterly and annual basis

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hospitality meeting sales experience
  • Experience in Corporate or Convention sales handling large-scale meetings, tradeshows, or conventions
  • Proven prospecting skills and a track record of closing business and meeting revenue goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience using Salesforce
