About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets for the advanced diagnostics (ADx) portfolio across India and South Asia.
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team through regular performance reviews, coaching, and training.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to expand market share.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt product offerings effectively.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, distributors, and major healthcare institutions.
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closing.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses to senior management.
  • Manage sales budgets and resources to optimize profitability and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biotechnology, Microbiology, Clinical Pathology) or Business Administration.
  • 12-15 years of progressive sales experience in the medical diagnostics industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a national or regional sales management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of molecular diagnostics, immunoassays, and clinical laboratory operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in complex, competitive markets.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in English; ability to travel extensively within India and South Asia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree.
  • Knowledge of additional regional languages.
