National Safety & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Support transport and operational compliance, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and load restraint
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and internal standards
• Lead incident investigations using ICAM methodology to identify root causes and implement preventative actions
• Develop and implement safety systems, procedures, and risk management frameworks
• Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to leaders and operational teams to strengthen safety culture
• Analyse incident trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver safety programs and support the rollout of HSE strategies across sites

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement)
• Demonstrated experience in safety management systems, auditing, and incident investigation
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and transport compliance frameworks
• Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to travel between operational sites across Melbourne suburbs and periodic travel to Queensland

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or tertiary qualification in WHS
• Background in transport, logistics, or similar operational environments
