About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth across national and regional Modern Trade accounts, including partners like Reliance, DMart, and Spencer’s
- Develop and execute annual business plans and joint business plans (JBP) with key accounts
- Deliver sales KPIs including monthly billing, secondary sales, range selling, and off-take growth
- Ensure strong in-store execution, including product listings, shelf placement, and secondary visibility
- Plan and execute BTL activations, promotions, sampling, and in-store campaigns
- Lead commercial negotiations regarding margins, listing fees, trade spends, and payment terms
- Manage business hygiene including claims submission, distributor alignment, and outstanding collections
- Coordinate with internal Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure stock availability and timely launches
- Monitor competition, category trends, and market opportunities to provide actionable insights to leadership
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of sales experience in the FMCG or Food industry
- Mandatory experience in Modern Trade and Key Account management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent commercial and analytical understanding
- Proven ability in stakeholder management and relationship building
- High ownership with an execution-focused mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling national or large regional key accounts
- Prior experience in health food, packaged food, nutrition, or snacking categories
