About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a national team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) to execute national sales strategies.
  • Drive sales team performance to achieve or exceed national revenue and profitability targets for the multiple myeloma therapeutic area.
  • Oversee all aspects of sales, including managed markets pull-through, local speaker development, and promotional programming.
  • Hire, coach, train, and develop a national team, setting clear objectives and performance targets.
  • Develop national and regional business plans, including resource allocation and territory strategies.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing, medical affairs, and reimbursement teams to facilitate sales objectives.
  • Manage T&E and assigned product promotional budgets while ensuring adherence to compliance and ethical standards.
  • Maintain significant field presence with approximately 60% travel to support customer relationships and KAM development.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree required, preferably in life sciences or business.
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • 5-7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including specialty sales.
  • 3-5 years of field management or marketing management experience with documented sales achievements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work evenings/weekends for conferences and customer events.
  • Understanding of IMC Code and field regulatory/compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, or PhD).
  • Specific oncology experience, particularly in hematology oncology.
  • Proven experience in sales launches.
  • Strong understanding of the reimbursement landscape.
  • Demonstrated leadership and creative problem-solving skills.
