NASAMS In-country Associate Director - Program Management

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact in Qatar for the NASAMS program, managing in-country teams and customer relations with the Qatari Emiri Air Forces (QEAF).
• Oversee daily execution, schedules, and performance for assigned contracts to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Manage subcontractor execution and build strong partnerships with Kongsberg Air Defense (KDA) to meet delivery commitments.
• Lead in-country teams across modernization, warranty, after-sales support, repair and return, and technical assistance.
• Collaborate with CONUS-based Program Managers to support financial analysis, EAC preparation, and program review packages.
• Drive timely resolution of technical and logistical issues while maintaining program infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (or Advanced degree with 10+ years).
• 7+ years of experience in Program Management and Risk & Opportunity Measures.
• PMX Certification Level 4 (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Proven experience with large Air Defense weapon systems and program execution (System Integration, Fielding, Training, Operations, and Sustainment).
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in Doha, Qatar, for a 2-year international assignment with up to 25% international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or a graduate degree in engineering.
• Experience working in the MENA region.
• Experience as a Senior Non-commissioned Officer.
• Expertise in international program execution and collaboration with large international subcontractors.
• Strong working knowledge of EX/IM regulations and security requirements.
• Prior experience with the NASAMS program.
