Narrative Designer/Writer

Responsibilities

• Write fascinating storylines for areas and quests
• Craft living, memorable characters and deep lore for monsters, factions, and locations
• Create all types of in-game text and interactive dialogue
• Research diverse topics related to classical antiquity to inform world-building
• Collaborate closely with the principal narrative designer to brainstorm, pitch, and iterate on concepts
• Work cross-functionally with content design, level design, art, and sound teams

Requirements

• Professional game development experience as a Narrative Designer, Game Writer, or in a similar story-oriented role
• Strong sense of story, dramatic structure, and videogame narrative specifics
• Experience creating interactive dialogue and non-verbal storytelling techniques
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Ability to write clear documentation and organize complex information
• Extensive gaming experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing narrative tools, storytelling systems, or dialogue systems
• Education in creative writing, narrative design, or related fields like literature or psychology
• Knowledge of and a passion for classical antiquity
• A passion for ARPGs
