About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide individuals and groups through hands-on glassmaking activities like sandblasting, engraving, and fused glass projects
- Teach or assist with Make Your Own Glass programs and workshops
- Support public programs, social events, and special activities
- Process glass projects including kiln operation, packaging, labeling, and shipping
- Prepare materials and supplies for daily programs and workshops
- Maintain studio equipment, workspaces, and production areas
- Monitor and replenish workshop inventory
- Maintain a safe working environment following Museum safety policies
Requirements
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Willingness to learn technical glassmaking processes and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds infrequently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience in arts, education, hospitality, retail, or hands-on technical environments
