Music Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, game-based music lessons to groups of 5-12 students aged 5-14
• Utilize in-house technology and lesson plans to create interactive musical experiences
• Problem-solve in the classroom and provide feedback to help improve the program
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions

Requirements

• Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Education, or a related field
• Ability to play a musical instrument
• Experience working with children in a group, classroom, or camp setting
• Availability at least 3 days a week between 2pm and 6pm
• Must have a car and the ability to travel to various Chicago and suburban locations
• Ability to pass standard background checks for working with children

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a music teacher, instructor, mentor, or tutor
• Strong classroom management skills
• Passion for combining technology, music education, and gaming
