Music Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, game-based music lessons to groups of 5-12 students aged 5-14
• Utilize in-house technology and lesson plans to create interactive musical experiences
• Problem-solve in the classroom and provide feedback to help improve the program
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions

Requirements

• Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Education, or a related field
• Proficiency in playing a musical instrument
• Experience working with children in a group, classroom, or camp environment
• Availability at least 3 days per week between 2pm and 6pm
• Ability to travel to community centers and schools in Boston and surrounding suburbs
• Must pass CORI background checks
• Access to a car or reliable public transit

Preferred Qualifications

• Classroom management experience
• Prior experience as a music teacher, instructor, mentor, or tutor
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle
