Music Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in accordance with the school curriculum
• Teach vocal and instrumental music to students across designated grade levels
• Develop students' musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for different musical genres and cultures
• Prepare students for school performances, concerts, assemblies, competitions, and special events
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and self-expression

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, or Performing Arts
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
• Experience teaching vocal and/or instrumental music
• Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments
• UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to organize performances and extracurricular music activities
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a collaborative approach to teaching
