Museum Guide

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate visitor experiences of the collection and special exhibitions
• Lead tours and learning experiences designed for diverse visitor needs
• Engage guests through hands-on inquiry learning using objects in carts
• Research object and historic context to support interpretation
• Document and evaluate designed experiences with visitors
• Answer visitor questions regarding the collection, The Studio, and amenities
• Coordinate visitor experience logistics for school groups and other visits
• Support the Museum’s commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion

Requirements

• Experience working with the public
• Excellent presentation and listening skills
• Ability to organize and synthesize complex information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to walk around the museum and push carts

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in foreign languages
