Murex Senior Finance Consultant

Responsibilities

• Participate in discussions with stakeholders across Group Finance, Accounting Reconciliation, and Treasury Operations to define accounting requirements.
• Analyze end-to-end product lifecycles and economic events to ensure accounting solutions cover all financial product scenarios.
• Prepare technical and functional specification documents for the Murex Accounting module.
• Perform first-level validation (SIT) on Murex accounting setups against user-provided templates.
• Deliver accounting setups for UAT, support users with queries, and implement fixes based on UAT observations.
• Configure and deploy accounting setups across various environments, including production, and provide post-go-live support.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of Murex Back-Office experience with significant exposure to the accounting module.
• Deep understanding of Murex MX3 accounting rules, setup, and the key Murex-MX3 DataModel.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and various asset classes (FXD, IRD, EQD, CRD).
• Proven experience in creating test cases for SIT and UAT.
• Experience with Murex upgrade-related report development and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and logical approach to problem-solving and system development.
• English proficiency at a B2 Upper Intermediate level or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards.
