Municipal Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the municipality's overall operations
• Ensure good financial management and long-term economic sustainability
• Prepare high-quality decision-making bases for political processing and follow up on decisions
• Further develop the management group and the organization
• Contribute to good cooperation with employees, union representatives, and the occupational health service
• Develop strong relationships with residents, local businesses, volunteer organizations, and partners
• Follow up and develop inter-municipal cooperation
• Actively contribute to the municipality's social and business development

Requirements

• Higher education from a university or college
• Relevant leadership experience with personnel, financial, and result responsibility
• Strong financial understanding and experience with financial management
• Experience with change and development work
• Experience from the municipal sector or other politically controlled organizations is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to act as a unifying leader who builds trust through open communication
• High integrity and a clear understanding of the professional role
• Ability to stand firm in demanding decisions based on professional assessments
