Municipal Director of Finance

Responsibilities

• Lead the municipality's overall budget and economic processes
• Ensure sound economic management, long-term sustainability, and responsible management of community resources
• Manage the municipality's financial management, debt management, and ownership interests
• Contribute to the further development of the municipality's budget culture and management systems
• Lead and develop central business areas including finance, accounting, HR, digitalization, real estate, occupational health services, and ownership management
• Ensure technology and digitalization are used to improve services
• Contribute to the development of leaders, the organization, and employer policy
• Provide strategic advice and decision-making support to political leadership

Requirements

• Relevant higher education, preferably at the master's level, in economics, finance, administration, or similar fields
• Solid experience with economic management, corporate management, or financial issues
• Documented results from leading large and complex organizations
• Experience with change and development processes, preferably from the public sector
• Good understanding of strategic decision-making processes and resource prioritization
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear decision-making bases
• Must be able to obtain security clearance from the National Security Authority (Sivil klareringsmyndighet)
