Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the municipality's organization in accordance with political decisions and plans
• Ensure high-quality services and wise management of municipal resources
• Act as a visible and clear leader to drive organizational development
• Facilitate effective interaction between the administration and elected bodies
• Maintain the municipality's role as an employer and foster cooperation with employees and union representatives
• Drive community and business development in collaboration with local stakeholders and regional partners
• Represent the municipality in relevant collaborations and networks

Requirements

• Relevant higher education
• Leadership experience from the public sector or other complex organizations
• Strong understanding of financial management, organizational development, and strategic leadership
• Experience with restructuring and development work
• Strong understanding of the role and ability to interact with political decision-makers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience from the municipal sector is an advantage
