Multiskilled Reporter

Responsibilities

• Pitch, set up, shoot, write, and edit news content for all platforms, including live broadcasts and social media
• Lead newscasts for a statewide audience
• Produce mobile shorts and packages (PKGs)
• Report live on breaking news and deep storytelling pieces
• Create engaging content for social media platforms to drive audience buzz

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or a similar field
• 3-5 years of experience as a Multiskilled Journalist (MSJ) or Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)
• Proficiency in videography, video editing, and digital publishing
• Strong social media presence and proficiency across platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CUEZ, Edius, and Axis graphics
