Multiplatform Producer

Responsibilities

• Research, pitch, and produce high-impact, original stories for ABC audiences
• Work closely with national reporters to refine ideas, shape angles, and source talent
• Support the development and delivery of stories in the education and parenting space
• Produce and deliver content across multiple platforms, including digital, video, audio, and broadcast
• Build and maintain a strong network of sources across education, parenting, and social policy areas
• Monitor the news cycle to identify opportunities for distinctive, agenda-setting coverage
• Collaborate with reporting, digital, and broadcast teams to ensure high-quality production

Requirements

• Proven track record of producing high-impact journalism across digital, video, audio, and broadcast platforms
• Excellent editorial judgement and a sharp instinct for engaging storytelling
• Strong research skills and the ability to uncover original story ideas
• Proficiency in digital storytelling and an understanding of multiplatform audience behaviour
• Ability to script, produce, and deliver polished, high-quality content
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated interest in issues affecting Australian communities, such as education and social affairs
