Multimedia Journalist

Responsibilities

• Pitch, research, and develop enterprise and breaking news stories.
• Report live from the field and in-studio with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.
• Shoot and edit stories using professional camera equipment, iPhones, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Write and voice news scripts in Spanish under tight deadlines.
• Produce mobile-first content for digital and social media platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local officials, and news sources.
• Collaborate with producers, assignment editors, and news managers to deliver high-quality content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2–5 years of experience as a television journalist, preferably in a Spanish-language newsroom.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and newsroom systems such as iNews.
• Proven experience reporting, shooting, and editing news stories independently.
• Strong storytelling, writing, and live reporting skills with a social-native mindset.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to become a member of SAG-AFTRA.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $130,000 - $150,000.
• Comprehensive benefits package (subject to the applicable union collective bargaining agreement).
