Multimedia Journalist

Responsibilities

• Gather information for stories and live reports for newscasts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Provide coverage of breaking news, weather, and sports
• Produce high-quality video packages for newscasts, digital platforms, and social media reels
• Develop local sources, create original story ideas, and pitch enterprise news stories
• Shoot live shots and conduct live interviews

Requirements

• Professional or schooling experience in television news reporting, photography, and editing
• Proven ability to shoot and edit high-quality video
• Strong creative writing and editing skills
• Ability to provide samples of reporting and videography
• Experience developing local contacts and community connections
• Ability to handle the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive news production
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including holidays and weekends
• Related military experience will be considered
