Multimedia Content Lead

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise coverage of major breaking news events and daily stories
• Develop, produce, and edit time-sensitive news content for digital platforms
• Work with reporters, digital producers, and video editors to create enterprise and watchdog content
• Monitor traditional and social media for breaking news and execute distribution strategies
• Write and edit SEO-optimized headlines, social copy, and multimedia captions
• Analyze digital KPIs to execute editorial strategies that meet audience goals
• Manage relationships between different local newsrooms and participate in editorial planning

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a journalist
• Proven experience working in a newsroom environment
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required
• Strong expertise in digital narrative, including video, text, and graphics
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure breaking news environment
• Knowledge of digital trends, audience behaviors, and Latino/Latin American culture
• Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends in alternative shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS in Journalism, Mass Communications, or an equivalent field
• Experience working with multiple digital formats
• Ability to interpret and act upon analytics trends
