Multilingual Learner Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide and guide instruction for Multilingual Learner (MLL) students
• Co-teach with English and History teachers and provide feedback on SEI strategies
• Complete case management and MLL compliance responsibilities
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings for English Learners
• Create a positive, structured learning environment following school core values
• Implement curricula and activities to meet academic and language acquisition standards
• Design and implement assessments to measure student progress
• Use assessment data to refine curriculum and instructional practices
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Engage families in their children's education

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of two years teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting preferred
• Must possess a MA educator license in ESL, ELL, or TBE endorsement prior to employment
• Minimum GPA requirements (2.5 for MA/NY, 2.75-3.0 for NJ) depending on graduation date
• Strong mastery of academic subjects and drive to improve student lives
