Multi-Department Program Director - Aquatics and Sports

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on management for the Aquatics and Sports departments
• Supervise aquatics and sports activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives
• Monitor and maintain department budgets
• Perform hands-on duties including acting as pool manager, head guard, swim instructor, swim coach, and water fitness instructor
• Hire qualified staff and conduct necessary training
• Lead program development and growth initiatives
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the facility

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Experience in Aquatics and Youth Sports
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or YMCA Lifeguard Instructor certification
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer or YMCA Lifeguard Trainer certification
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to pass reference checks, drug screen, background check, and sex offender registry check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous YMCA Program Director or related leadership experience
